T-Rex – Slot Review

The T-Rex video slot machine was released by Real Time Gaming (RTG) in March of 2009 and has already obtained a rather large fan following in the short amount of time that it has been available at some of the RTG casinos. What makes T-Rex such an excellent slot machine has absolutely nothing to do with the statistics. In fact, if you take a look at this game by the numbers, you will see that the T-Rex video slot machine is a relatively normal video slot machine. This starts with the figures of five reels and twenty-five pay lines and then just goes on from there.

What makes the T-Rex video slot machine so appealing is entirely hidden in the theme of the overall slot machine. The theme is decidedly prehistoric with a number of different aspects of the slot machine moving the viewer’s mindset in that direction. It starts with the background which is one of lush prehistoric jungles and pristine climates and then moves onto all of the windows and action buttons which could almost have been right out of the Flintstones in the way that they were designed. All of this lends credence to the prehistoric theme and we haven’t even started talking about the symbols on the slots yet.

Those symbols are excellent too, with different dinosaur species being heavily represented on the reels of the T-Rex video slot machine. There are pictures of Triceratops, Stegosaurus and of course T-Rex makes a big appearance on the game that is named after that particular species. Rankings from 10 to Ace are also included to bolster the reels and the numbers are designed excellently, with some players even confusing the J symbol for the lower leg and foot of a terrifying Tyrannosaurus Rex. All in all, this RTG video slot machine has one of the best designed themes around.
