The Rules of Baccarat

When you first hear the name Baccarat, you need to think of a card game. In fact, this is a card game that can be played with six or more decks of cards. Pretty much in this game, each of the players that are playing get a chance to hold what is called the shoe (or the deck of cards). The dealer deals out two hands, the banker’s hand and, of course, the players’ hand. Before you start to deal out the cards, however, bets must be placed. You have to bet on the banker’s hand, the player’s hand, or a tie. When you first start out, you deal two cards to each player and the banker. From there, you deal another card to either the players or the banker depending on the rules you are using.

The value of your hand in Baccarat is determined by simply getting a total for the value of your cards. The betting is what makes the game so much fun. All you do is bet on which hand you think is going to be the highest hand. If the values are a total of 8 or 9, then the game is called a natural, and the game then ends. However, if the player and the banker get the same kind of hand, then the game is a tie, and then it ends. When you are betting, you can bet on either the player’s hand or the banker’s hand. The way the bet works is, if the player hand wins, you get the money, and you do not have to pay any kind of commission. However, if the banker wins, then you do have to pay a 5% commission on the winnings you got off his hand. If by chance there is a tie, the bets are then returned.

A lot of people feel this game is hard to understand, but it only takes a few hands to understand how it works. Remember, Baccarat is a game that is easy to learn, but very hard to master.
